My Little Town Play Cafe opened earlier this year and is a Role Play Cafe based in Chipping Sodbury. We’ve visited a couple of times now and thoroughly enjoyed it. Funny story – the first time we visited was for a Birthday Party and I was unknowingly in labour with Rupert – I had him later that evening!
My Little Town is a miniature town full of mini shops/workplaces for children to explore their creativity and expand their imagination. With areas including Vets, a Construction Site, Theatre, Gym, Library and a Fire Station there is something for everyone to get involved with. There’s even a fire engine and double decker bus. Each area is filled with props to encourage child led role play.
Arthur loved the outdoor area, with a BBQ, treehouse, picnic bench and props. He also enjoyed the Construction Site, putting on his hard hat and high vis jacket and transporting the foam bricks/stones in the wheelbarrow to the skip.
As well as the miniature town, there is a little enclosed area for babies, with play mats, age appropriate toys and sensory activities. Rupert loved looking at his reflection in the mirror pebbles. I’ve been meaning to get him some for at home.
There is a cafe open alongside the sessions serving hot and cold drinks, food and snacks. As well as small meals such as sandwiches and toasties and children’s hot meals/cold pick ‘n’ mix selection.
