Yate Gymnastics are based in the Active Yate Leisure Centre and run their “come and play” sessions throughout the week and over the weekend. Both Sam and I have attended a few times with Arthur and he’s always asking to go back and has an amazing time when he’s there. He’s always one of the last to leave! They set up a range of different equipment, from bouncy castles, trampolines and inflatables to assault courses with apparatus at various difficulty levels. Arthur is 3 and he will have a go on most pieces of the equipment but needs a bit of support on the trickier bits. There are also toys set up for babies so the really little ones aren’t left out.

The sessions are £3.00 for under 1s and £4.50 per child over 1 year. Additional children receive a discounted rate of £4.00. Entry includes a drink and biscuits after the session.
Gym Tots at yate gymnastics centre
As well as the come and play sessions, Yate Gymnastics Centre also offer more structured classes for children ages 18 months upwards. We did a couple of taster sessions when Arthur was around this age but found he was a little to young to understand the structure of the classes. These classes require you signing up for a full term (8 weeks) and paying in advance although you can have two “pay as you go” taster sessions before signing up. These are £6.50 per class.
Other activities at Yate Gymnastics Centre include Cheerleading, Tumbling, Parkour and Acro Gymnastics.
Parking at yate leisure centre
There are a few different car parks near to the leisure centre. The main car park is on Station Road, there is a 4 hour limit on this one. The long stay parking is behind the Leisure Centre on Kennedy Way.
