Maxi Cosi Minla High Chair Review

I’ve been trying to work on these reviews of some of our must have baby items and next on the list is the Maxi Cosi Minla High Chair. If you have a toddler when you have a newborn I feel like this is a must have item. We couldn’t have been without it in the early days and it’s something I recommend to all new parents and parents to be.

The Maxi Cosi Minla is a fully adjustable high chair suitable for ages 0-14 (0-60kg) and comes in various colours. The thing that sold it for me was the reclinable infant seat suitable from birth. This was a godsend for us to keep our newborn out the way of our 2 year old and it was really nice to have him level with me whilst I was preparing food, or at times working (joys of being self-employed).

There are a few pros and cons we’ve found after a year of use. The main pro being that it keeps a newborn away from little toddler hands, it’s also aesthetically pleasing with the oak legs and grey colour and its very versatile with being able to use it throughout the ages. Cons for me would be that it’s quite bulky which it understandably needs to be for a newborn, but we’re unlikely to use it as a seat in later stages due to the amount of room it takes up.

How much is the Maxi Cosi Minla?

The Maxi Cosi Minla ranges from £115-180 depending on retailers, colours chosen and offers at the time of purchase. For reference, we bought ours on Amazon which was the cheapest we could find at the time.

What colours does the Maxi Cosi Minla High Chair come in?

The Minla is available in a range of colours, with a choice of colours for both the fabric and legs. This includes Graphite, Beyond Graphite, Elegance Beige and Elegance Graphite. I love the oak coloured legs on the Graphite colours and this is what drew me to the design.

Where can I buy the Maxi Cosi Minla High Chair?

There are many retailers including Maxi Cosi themselves, Amazon, Mamas and Papas and John Lewis. Different retailers have different offers on so it’s worth shopping around for the best deals. We bought ours on a Black Friday offer.

What age is the Minla suitable for?

I’ve mentioned in my introduction but it’s suitable for 0-14 year olds. It starts off with the newborn seat, moves forwards into a high chair then the high chair can be removed to make a child seat suitable for a child up to 60kg. Personally we won’t be using it beyond the toddler high chair stage.

Is the Maxi Cosi Minla easy to clean?

It’s not the easiest (think IKEA as the alternative option) but it is easy to remove the covers and cushion and put it in the washing machine. You can wipe the covers clean in-between washes too. It’s quite an easy to clean fabric and I found it disguised any little marks quite easily with the colours.

I think I’ve answered the most common questions I’ve had since buying this but please ask in the comments if you have anything else you’d like to ask.
