Witches Hat is often forgotten about in Yate as most people visit the much loved Kingsgate Park. This park is usually popular for its skate ramps (which Arthur enjoys using as a slide)! There’s various equipment, from a wooden climbing frame, more advanced climbing, swings, sand, a “skateboard” and climbing net. I still find that most of the equipment is a little too old for Arthur (3 years old). He struggles with most things other than the wooden climbing tower, but even this he can’t always get up.
The little skateboard is good fun, for me, but also a favourite for Arthur when he’s being held. The skate ramps are great for bikes and scooters (and sliding down on your bum). There’s no slide at all at this park which is always missed by Arthur as it’s one of his favourite things to do. There are a few picnic benches dotted around and on a Summers Day there is Yate/Westerleigh Common opposite for a picnic.
