SKYPARK Butlins

We timed our annual trip to Butlins well as it was the same week SKYPARK Butlins Minehead opened. I didn’t even realise until I saw it on their Instagram before our visit. SKYPARK is an inclusive, accessible play park filled with fun and sensory activities for all ages. There are musical instrument, interactive games, climbing towers and the UK’s longest swing line at a massive 42 metres! Considering how much time we spend at parks, I’ve never seen anything like it.

There are two areas to SKYPARK Butlins, one for younger children and one designed for 5+ with the climbing towers and slides. We understandably spend most of our time in the younger children’s bit. Arthur really enjoyed the interactive monster games with the numbers and all of the musical instruments. He also enjoyed the small slide and rope climbing frame.

Unfortunately the park has been built where Crazy Golf was which was something we always did as a family. I’m hoping they build a new Crazy Golf in a different location in the future.

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO VISIT SKYPARK BUTLINS?

We went to the park twice on our visit, once at 8pm and once at 4:20pm. Believe it or not, we had the whole park to ourselves at 4:20pm, whereas at 8pm it seemed every child at Butlins were there. Maybe running off steam before bed!

How much does SKYPARK cost?

SKYPARK is included in the cost of your Butlins Holiday or day pass. Day passes cost from £10 per child and £17 per adult. Midweek breaks are available from £43 for a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 children).

Are there toilets at SKYPARK?

We visited SKYPARK at Butlins, Minehead and the closest toilets are either in the Inn on the Green or inside the Skyline. There is a Changing Places Toilet just outside SKYPARK which is a welcome addition, I am assuming they will be building other toilets nearby soon.

Facilities at SKYPARK Minehead?

There are many restaurants and cafes nearby including Costa, Burger King and Papa Johns.

Opening Hours of SKYPARK BUTLINS?

SKYPARK Minehead is open 8am-1opm daily in school holidays and 8am-8pm during term time breaks.
