Meade Park Stoke Gifford

July 7, 2024 ami Leave a comment

Another new one to us and a great one to visit. Meade Park Stoke Gifford has had some recent renovations due to an unfortunate fire, when we visited the zip wire was still in progress but it may have been completed now – we’ll have to go again to see what it’s like! The park had a large climbing frame, perfect for toddlers, swings and a HUGE slide. Arthur spent most of his time on the climbing frame, it was nice that he could do everything without assistance.

There was also an outdoor gym with equipment I’ve never seen in an outdoor gym before – Sam and I enjoyed having a “play” on this ourselves! Meade Park is surrounded by a large field – perfect for a Summer picnic or ball games. We look a walk to the nature reserve just over the road, mainly to get Rupert to sleep but were pleasantly surprised with the beautiful surroundings.

We visited after a Birthday Party at Mama’s Hub (more about that soon). We’ve been told it’s a favourite park in the Bradley Stoke area and can see why. We all enjoyed having a go on the slide – we’ve never seen one like it at a free park.

Where is Meade Park Stoke Gifford?

The postcode for Meade Park is BS328AQ, it’s near Bradley Stoke.

Is there car parking for Meade Park?

There is a small carpark on site (suitable for around 5 or 6 cars). There is a 2 metre high restriction for vehicles – our Volkswagen Transporter fitted under fine.

Facilities at Meade Park Stoke Gifford?

The park is quite “in the middle of nowhere” so there aren’t any toilet facilities around. I’ve been informed since my post on Instagram that there’s often a small coffee van with drinks, bacon baps etc in peak times.
