Children’s Scrapstore Bristol

Children’s Scrapstore is a Bristol based charity that collects scrap from local businesses and repurpose it for play opportunities for children. They run various play sessions and events throughout the week, have a warehouse full of repurposed scrap and have a shop full of art supplies. It is such a brilliant concept!

We were invited to trial a Messy Play session a little while ago and really enjoyed it. Arthur went straight to the glue wall which is a sticky wall with loads of bits to stick to it. The sand was so therapeutic to play in (even for me) and Rupert enjoyed getting his hands dirty. There was a quieter reading corner, homemade playdoh and dyed rice. Arthur enjoyed making a stained glass window in the child led activity – although he just stuck anything he could find to it. There is a reel on my Instagram if you want to see Arthur (and Rupert) getting stuck in.
